Putin brings real democracy to Russia.

In a recently published article in Passport Magazine ,Mr. Jon Hellevig, a lawyer from Finland who has worked and lived in Russia since the beginning of 1990’s, defends President-elect Putin.
He compares Western Democracy development over a couple of centuries to Democracy in Russia that only came into beingwhen President Yeltsin inherited a “criminal anarchy”.

President Putin's crowning achievement during his two terms as President of Russia was the development of real democratic institutions, does need a defense. He needs admiration and support!

In his recent election campaign, Putin promissed a number of far-reaching liberal changes to the economic laws and laws governing the political system.

Putin has already announced significant liberalization of the election laws... We will probably never see a similar liberalization of corresponding US laws, a country where two parties share an eternal monopoly to power”.

The most significant liberalization of the election laws, among them the proposition to further lower the threshold for registering parties with nationwide status.

Accordingly, President Medvedev today, April 3,2012, signed into law the very same proposal of then-candidate Putin.

Immediately thereafter the mass media announced the formation of Gay & Lesbian Political Party—how is that for Russian Democracy!?

We gripe, you decide!
